ANGRA

Angra is a Brazilian band formed in 1991, known for being among the biggest names in Brazilian heavy metal in the world, having released acclaimed albums of worldwide prominence and built a glorious career.

The group created a sound composed of Brazilian ethnic rhythms and the sophistication of classical music. The name means "goddess of fire and beauty" in Tupiniquim mythology, in addition to meaning a small cove or bay used as a natural harbor (as in Angra dos Reis). In addition, it was also chosen because it resembles the adjective angry.

The quintet is considered a musical reference for its symphonic interludes and highly technical musicians, being a great example of versatility in the musical environment.

Endowed with a rare sense of direction among Brazilian bands, Angra achieved the unthinkable for a Brazilian group of this style: more than 100,000 copies sold in Japan as well as numerous nominations for best album of the genre, best album covers and also best musicians, having won many of these awards.

The musicians make up the set: Rafael Bittencourt (guitar), Felipe Andreoli (bass), Marcelo Barbosa (guitar), Fábio Lione (vocals) and Bruno Valverde (drums).
