RATOS DE PORÃO

**Ratos de Porão -** (Portuguese for "Basement Rats"), or "RxDxPx", is a Brazilian crossover thrash band from São Paulo. They were formed in November 1981 and have since been a cornerstone of the country’s Punk/Hardcore community. Directly influenced by the UK 82 hardcore bands, they started to write songs that criticized Brazilian society, a revolutionary concept at the time.

Their first album released in 1983 was titled Crucificados pelo sistema, one of the first South American HC albums, it was one of the best-selling hardcore albums to come out of the country and was soon considered a punk classic worldwide. Their sound is regarded as one of the rawest of their scene.

The band also maintains close ties to the region’s metal community, as suggested by their long-standing friendship with fellow countrymen Sepultura. RDP’s music began to reflect this alliance after 1987, evolving into an early hybrid of HC and metal.

In the mid-eighties, as their records reached international ears, RDP started to tour overseas which they continue to do 40+ years later. They are thrilled to ignite any venue – from the smallest basement to the largest festival – with their raw, intense sound.

**Antisect -** are a punk rock band originally formed in Daventry, England in 1982. Their roots are in hardcore/anarcho punk and metal.

Their debut album, In Darkness there is No Choice, was released in 1984. 1985's follow-up EP Out from the Void has often been cited as a game changer amongst their genre for fusing a raw punk rock style with elements of metal.

Antisect are a significant band in the timeline of hardcore punk music, the band address issues including animal rights and social justice, communicating their ideas to a largely punk rock audience, and were among the instigators of the squat venue scene in the mid to late 1980s. During this time, members lived the lifestyle of being either on the road or part of the vibrant London squat scene of the time. They toured extensively both in the UK and Europe and though originally splitting up in 1987, the band reformed in May 2011.

**The Vile -** are a four piece punk band from Nottingham, England featuring current members of The Varukers and members who have played in bands such as Discharge, Warwound, Hellkrusher and Anti system to name a few. Delivering no nonsense hard punk with no compromise they have been playing stages worldwide since 2011. They have released seven records to date and are currently working on a new album due for release in 2025.

**Fantazmaz -** is a street-ghetto punk band formed in 2020 and based in London that blends genres and backgrounds into a sound that’s raw and electrifying. With energetic performances, striking melodies, and impactful lyrics, their music leaves a lasting impression.
