The Sankaras are an alt-rock band from Glasgow who blend classic rock, indie and alternative influences to put their own unique twist on the genre. The band take their music and their presence to the next level by weaving over-the-top theatricality and narrative into everything they do, making their shows half rock concert, half pantomime.
Over the last year and a half they have built up a strong following in cities all over Scotland playing at festivals and sold-out shows in venues of every size, from King Tut's Wah Wah Hut to Glasgow's O2 Academy; Supporting huge international acts such as She Wants Revenge, The Southern River Band, and The Last Internationale; And gaining tens of thousands of streams on Spotify alone with regular listeners all over the UK.
Fresh off the back of sold out shows in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow; The Sankaras are back with a modern classic rock anthem, "Without You", which is only the beginning of what will be an explosive second half of 2024.
